Our Centre Philosophy

Here at Zetland Early Learning Centre, we aim to create a loving and nurturing environment for all children in our care. We welcome children, educators, and families from all backgrounds to create a respectful and supportive community.

 

We believe that these secure relationships provide children with a safe base for exploration and learning. Our educators view all children as competent and capable individuals. Every child’s voice is valued and reflected throughout our practices, enabling the children to be actively involved in decision making.

 

We use the Early Years Learning Framework, the National Quality Framework, pedagogical practices and theories, and children’s individual observations to guide our planning cycle. Children’s interests are at the core of every experience, creating opportunities for both individual and group learning. These experiences take place in a range of environments from our inviting rooms and centre-library, to our spacious outdoor areas.
